Kayaking along the Hija River, a scenic spot known since 
the Ryukyu Dynasty, in a kayak that anyone can enjoy.

[Mangrove Kayaking (4 times a day)] 
 The Hija River, which has the largest watershed on Okinawa's 
 main island, is densely covered with mangroves and other trees 
on its downstream banks, and is home to many living creatures. 
This tour allows you to paddle down the quiet river with your
 own hands, enjoy the scenery you don't normally see from the
 iver surface, and observe rare subtropical creatures.

[Sunset + Night Kayaking ]

This tour takes you to the border between the river and the ocean just before sunset, when the sea and sky turn orange. Watch the sun sink into the East China Sea. The sunset you see while floating on the waves in a kayak is breathtaking sight beyond words. Enjoy the scenery as it transitions from dusk to night.

*Pets (dogs) are allowed. ¥3,000 per pet (advance reservation required).

If you need Life Jacket for your dog, please bring yor own.

Important Information

The meeting point will remain the same from February 20 to October 31, 2024, but the parking lot location will change.
Temporary Parking Lot: 562-5 Mizugama, Kadena-cho, Nakagami-gun
- Look for the sign marked “Kadena-cho Hisagawa Nature Experience Center Temporary Parking Lot” at the entrance.
- Guidance signs are posted in the parking area; please refer to them when parking.
Signs also direct you along the route to the meeting point.
Please leave large items such as carry-on luggage in your vehicle.
- Valuables can be stored in 100-yen return coin lockers available at the meeting place.
