Cancellation Policy

[Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach - Specific Cancellation Policy] If you wish to change or cancel your reservation for personal reasons, the following cancellation or amendment fees will apply. Please note that any bank transfer fees incurred for refunds will be borne by the customer.

From 18:00, 3 days prior to the day before the scheduled date: 30% of the total fee
From 18:00, 2 days prior to the day before the scheduled date: 40% of the total fee
From 18:00 on the day before the scheduled date: 50% of the total fee
Cancellations made after the meeting time, or failure to show up without prior notice (no-show), will be charged 100% (the full amount) of the total fee.

Precautions

★ Important Notice regarding Additional Fees (Payable on-site)
- Facility Fee: Starting April 1, 2026, a facility fee of 500 JPY per person will be charged. Please pay in cash on-site on the day of the activity.
- Wetsuit / Life Jacket Size: If the standard life jackets or wetsuits do not fit your size on-site, an additional fee of 1,200 JPY × 2 items must be paid on the day.
🚫 Age & Health Restrictions
- Age Limit: For safety reasons, participants aged 60 and over cannot participate. Thank you for your understanding.
- Health Conditions: Participation is not permitted for individuals with history of heart disease, asthma, circulatory or respiratory disorders, ENT (ear/nose/throat) diseases, neurological or mental disorders, musculoskeletal/joint disorders, diabetes, or those who are pregnant. A doctor's medical certificate may be required.
- Medication: If you are currently taking any medication, you must present a doctor’s medical certificate. Without it, you will not be allowed to participate.
- Health Check: You will be asked to fill out a medical history checklist upon arrival. Depending on your answers, you may be unable to join the tour.
🤿 Booking Requirements & FUN Diving Regulations
- Required Information: When booking, please provide the following details for all participants: Full name, age, gender, height, weight, shoe size, and eyesight (whether you need prescription lenses).
- FUN Diving Prerequisites: Whale shark FUN diving requires advanced buoyancy control (neutral buoyancy). Therefore, it is strictly limited to certified divers who have logged at least 5 dives (excluding training dives during your certification course) AND whose last dive was within the past 6 months. Please state your total logged dives and the date of your last dive when booking.
- License Card: FUN divers must bring and present their physical diving license card.
- Equipment Rental: Gear rental is not included for FUN diving. Full rental is available for 3,200 JPY (please book this option in advance).
- Prescription Masks: Standard rental gear does not include prescription masks. If you need one, please request it upon booking.
⚠️ Minors, Flight Restrictions & Logistics
- Minors (Children): Elementary school children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Junior high school students and minors under 18 require parental consent.
- Flight Safety: Due to pressure changes and decompression risks, you cannot fly on the same day after diving.
- Weather & Cancellations: Tours may be canceled due to poor sea conditions. Cancellation decisions will be made on the day of the tour before 8:00 AM, and we will contact you immediately.
- Photography: Video recording is strictly prohibited during all whale shark activities.
- What to bring: Please bring your swimsuit and a bath towel.
- Facilities: Changing rooms and hot/cold showers are available free of charge. Coin lockers are available for 100 JPY.
- Terms: Please make sure to read the Travel Terms and Conditions before booking.

※ Whale Shark Viewing Methods ※ Currently, all activities—including FUN diving—take place from the outside of the sea cage (not from the inside).

Snorkeling: View from right above the cage (at the sea surface).
Discovery Scuba Diving: Dive and view from outside the cage.
FUN Diving: Dive deeper than the discovery dive and view from outside the cage.

Depending on the tour, the contents may be changed or canceled according to sea and weather conditions. In that case, we may contact you the day before, or in case of sudden change, on the same day as the tour.

Customers are responsible for managing their baggage and valuables. We are not responsible for any damage caused by the loss or theft of valuables. Please avoid bringing large amounts of cash and valuables to the tour as much as possible.
