    After spending the summer feeding on an abundance of prey in the northern waters around the Aleutian Islands, humpback whales return to the warm, calm seas near Zamami Island—located about 40 km west of Naha, Okinawa, and surrounded by beautiful coral reefs—for their winter breeding season.

    Witness the spectacular behavior of these magnificent whales, which can weigh around 30 tons and reach lengths of up to 15 meters!

Recommended Point

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason, the customer cancels his or her reservations, he or she will have to pay the following cancellation fees. Furthermore, please keep in mind that any bank transfer fees will be the customer's responsibility.
Cancellation 8-10 days before reservation date・・・20% of the original price
Cancellation 2-7 days before the reservation date・・・30% of the original price
Day before the reservation date・・・50% of the original price
On the reservation date・・・100% of the original price

Precautions

* Online reservations are available until 11:00 PM on the day before the tour.

* Tours departing from Chatan require a minimum of 15 participants. The tour will be cancelled if this minimum is not met. Please note that the decision regarding cancellation may be made as late as the day before the scheduled tour.

* The vessel used for the tour is subject to change without notice.


<About the Meeting Point>

The meeting point is "Uminchu Wharf." Should the location change to "Chatan Hamakawa Fishing Port," we will notify you the day before the tour.


If you do not receive a notification, please proceed to "Uminchu Wharf" as planned.

<Policy if no whales are sighted>

・As whales are wild animals, there may be instances where we are unable to locate or show them to you. Please note that no refunds will be issued in such cases.
However, if no whales are sighted during the period from February 1, 2027, to March 15, 2027, we will offer one of the following options:

<Special policy for the period of Feb 1, 2027 – Mar 15, 2027>
① Full refund (customer bears any applicable bank transfer fees)
② Re-boarding (valid until April 4, 2027)
※ Please note that the periods of Dec 19, 2026 – Jan 31, 2027, and Mar 16, 2027 – Apr 4, 2027, are excluded from this policy.

Please note that we will be unable to offer the above options if any of the following conditions apply:
● A "blow" (spout) was sighted in the distance
● Multiple passengers were able to spot a whale

Additionally, if your schedule prevents you from utilizing either option ① or ②, please understand that the right to these options will be forfeited.

・Please note that the schedule may shift depending on whale sighting conditions.

・If whales are spotted, the whale-watching portion of the tour is scheduled to last approximately one hour.

However, please be aware that we may return to port earlier than planned depending on sea conditions, whale activity, and the well-being of the passengers.

・Unlike in the summer, the waters around Okinawa during the winter whale-watching season tend to have higher waves. Please note that we may decline boarding for infants or elderly passengers depending on sea conditions.

・For safety reasons, pregnant women cannot participate in the tour, as the vibration from the boat's engine may have adverse effects. We appreciate your understanding.

・The tour may be cancelled or the schedule changed due to weather conditions.

・We will contact you if the tour is cancelled due to bad weather or other reasons. In such cases, refunds will be issued via bank transfer; please note that the customer is responsible for any associated transfer fees.

・Please make your own arrangements for protection against the cold and rain.

・If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend taking motion sickness medication.

・For safety reasons, please note that all passengers are required to wear life jackets.

・Due to the nature of the vessel's facilities and safety requirements, we regret that we cannot accommodate guests using wheelchairs.

・Please be sure to read the terms and conditions of travel when booking.
